Univision Computers Acquires Green Up IT, Expanding Managed IT Services in Helena

Montana-owned Univision Computers acquires Green Up IT, uniting Helena's trusted local IT firm with statewide depth and scale.

MISSOULA, MT, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Univision Computers, the Montana-owned managed IT services, cloud and cybersecurity provider founded in 1989, today announced it has acquired Green Up IT, Inc., the Helena IT firm founded in 2008 and known for 24/7/365 emergency support and a long-standing Helena-area client base. The transaction closed October 1, 2026. Founder and President David Kantorowicz has joined Univision as Account Executive for the Helena market, where he continues to lead the client relationships he built over eighteen years.

The acquisition brings together two Montana firms with complementary strengths. Green Up IT spent eighteen years earning the trust of Helena-area businesses; Univision brings the depth of a larger firm: a Montana-based help desk with a twelve-minute ticket triage target, field technicians, a full cybersecurity practice, private cloud infrastructure, and an owned service catalog spanning managed IT, backup and disaster recovery, business phone, and compliant fax. The combined company serves more than 700 client organizations under more than 1,400 active service agreements, employs over 50 people in Montana, and is adding Helena-based technicians as part of the transaction.

“Helena has been on our map for a long time. We wanted to get there the right way, with people the community already trusts, and David has earned that trust over eighteen years. His clients get everything Univision has built, delivered by the person they already know, and Univision gets a partner in Helena who cares about the outcome as much as we do. We are Montana owned, we are run by the people who own it, and we grow by bringing in firms like Green Up IT and keeping what made them good. That is what this is.” said Alex Fleig, Chief Executive Officer of Univision Computers.

“For eighteen years my clients have had my number, and they still do. What changes is what is behind that number: a Montana help desk that answers in minutes, technicians in Helena, and specialists in security and cloud that a company my size could never staff on its own. I looked at a lot of options for the next chapter of Green Up IT, and this was the one where my clients came out ahead and I got to stay in the relationships. Leaving organizations better than we find them has always been our motto. This is how we keep doing it.” said David Kantorowicz, President of Green Up IT, Inc., now Account Executive, Helena Market, Univision Computers.

What This Means for Clients

By joining Univision, Green Up IT's clients are now backed by one of Montana's most established technology firms. What was once a small shop's promise is now the standard of a company serving more than 700 client organizations under more than 1,400 active service agreements. Green Up IT clients immediately gain staffed, Montana-based help desk coverage with a twelve-minute triage target, backed by field technicians in Helena and Missoula. They gain a full security practice that treats endpoint, email and identity protection, backup and compliance as part of the base service rather than an annual upsell. They gain Univision's in-house service catalog, from managed IT and private cloud to business phone and compliant fax, all built and supported in-house. And they gain project capacity, including custom integration, reporting and workflow automation through Univision's business automation group.. None of this required Green Up IT's clients to leave Montana or move to a national provider. It required only that their trusted local provider join the strongest Montana-owned firm in the state.
